RETURN METHODS

Returns due to delivery errors:

In cases where products different from those ordered are delivered, either by type or quantity, or if a feature previously agreed upon in writing with our online store is missing, the customer returns the products for inspection and verification of the error.

The customer must have previously contacted our online store and return the product in the condition in which they received it.

In this case, the costs of returning the products as well as the costs of re-forwarding them to the customer are borne by our online store, provided that customers follow the return method recommended by our online store.

For safety and mainly hygiene reasons, products with tampered security seals will not be accepted for return.

Returns of defective products:

If the product delivered to a customer has a real defect or lacks an agreed-upon feature, they are entitled to exercise, at their option, the rights provided by Article 540 of the Greek Civil Code. Specifically, they are entitled, at their option:

  1. To demand, without charge, the correction or replacement of the item with another, unless such action is impossible or requires disproportionate costs.
  2. To reduce the price.
  3. To withdraw from the contract, unless it is an insignificant actual defect.

For a feature to be considered agreed upon, it must have been agreed in writing.

The customer must, as soon as they discover the actual defect or the lack of an agreed-upon feature, contact our online store to inform us about the right they wish to exercise.

In case of withdrawal or exercise of the right to correct or replace the item, the costs of returning the product are borne by our online store. Also, the re-forwarding of the product after correction or replacement is borne by our online store.

If the customer exercises the right of correction or replacement, our online store is obliged to perform this within a reasonable time.

The rights provided by Article 540 of the Civil Code are prescribed after two years for movable property as defined by Article 554 of the Civil Code.

Our online store is exempt from the above-described obligations if the customer knew at the time of concluding the sales contract, especially following notification from our website, of the actual defect or the lack of the agreed-upon feature.

IMPORTANT! All of the above are invalidated without the presentation of the tax receipt that accompanied the products!

Exercise of the right of withdrawal:

According to consumer protection provisions, the consumer has a right of withdrawal which can be exercised within a period of 14 calendar days starting from the moment of delivery of the goods to them or to a third person possibly designated by them. The withdrawal is made under the following conditions:

  • This withdrawal is unjustified and without any charge for the customer, and if the product has already been delivered, the customer must return it exactly in the condition they received it. Specifically, the returned product must not have been used, must be in excellent condition, exactly as before its sale, in its full original packaging, which should not have tears, damage, or alterations, and with all the contents of the original packaging (e.g., instruction manuals).
  • The return of the product is accepted only if the buyer has first paid any amount charged to our online store for shipping the item to them. The shipping costs for returning the product to our store are borne by the buyer themselves.
  • The declaration of withdrawal is exercised in writing by completing the relevant PDF form (click here to download it) and sending it to our email address (customer@makeupland.gr), and in this case, our online store is obliged to confirm in writing the receipt of the withdrawal declaration as soon as it receives it.
  • The customer is obliged to return the product within fourteen calendar days from the day on which they notified our online store of the withdrawal. With the return of the product, the customer must also send the original purchase document (retail receipt or invoice).
  • Following the declaration of withdrawal, the online store is obliged to return to the customer the price received from the previous sales contract of the product. Regardless of the method of payment, the refund will be made through a deposit to the customer's bank account. For security reasons, the account holder must be the same person whose name appears on the purchase receipt.
  • Delivery shipping costs are not refunded if the customer had chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standardized delivery method offered by our online store.
  • The return of the price due to the submission of a withdrawal declaration by the customer will be made at the latest within fourteen calendar days from the time our online store became aware of the customer's withdrawal declaration.
  • The customer is liable to compensate our online store if they made use other than that necessary to ascertain the nature, characteristics, and function of the products in the period until the declaration of withdrawal. The determination of the nature, characteristics, and function of the goods should be based on the information provided on the external packaging of each product, as well as the supplementary information provided by our online store, and in any case without opening the product packaging and putting the product into use. Our online store is willing to inform the customer about any questions regarding the nature and function of the products by providing additional informational material electronically or otherwise. In case of opening the packaging and/or using the product, its value is automatically reduced as the product is characterized as used, and the customer is obliged to compensate our online store for the reduction in the value of the product. The reduction in value from opening the packaging and subsequently from characterizing the product as used is examined on a case-by-case basis. Our online store is entitled to agree with the customer on its compensation even by mutual offsetting.
  • If the products are returned damaged or incomplete, the online store has the right to request compensation from the customer, the amount of which will be determined by the condition of the products, and to proceed unilaterally and without anything further to total or partial offsetting of this claim against the customer.
  • A product that has been sold with an additional gift must be returned along with the additional gift, otherwise the value of the gift will be deducted from the refunded amount.

IMPORTANT! All of the above are invalidated without the presentation of the tax receipt that accompanied the products!

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal:

The right of withdrawal does not apply to cases exempted by current legislation for consumer protection (Article 3ib of the law for consumer protection).

In particular, the right of withdrawal is not granted to the customer regarding products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and which have been unsealed upon receipt by the customer, such as personal care items (exception number e of Article 3ib of the law for consumer protection).
